'The Best Stock Exchange Traders' prizes in five categories were awarded on the
02nd of December at the Budapest Stock Exchange's ceremony named Santa Claus Event
of Brokerage Style.
At the “Exchange Top List” ceremony of the Budapest Stock Exchange held on 7
December 2011, the outstanding stock exchange performers of 2011 were presented
with awards.
Small and Midcap conference organised by the Budapest Stock Exchange in co-operation
with KBC Securities Hungarian Branch Office as co-organiser drew a large audience
on Tuesday, 13 September.
Kochmeister award is handed over today for the seventh time at the Budapest Stock
Exchange. The Budapest Stock Exchange founded the Kochmeister Award in 2004 to
reward talented young people who submit the best paper(s) on predetermined topics
related to the Stock Exchange. The award is named after Baron Frigyes Kochmeister,
who played a leading role in 1864, in establishing the Budapest Commodity and
Stock Exchange, and, as the first chairman of the Exchange, managed the institution
for years.
The Exchange awards were presented to the best capital market performers of the
year 2010 at the “Top List on the Exchange” ceremony held on the evening of 7
December 2010.
The Club of Quotables conference organised by the Budapest Stock Exchange drew
a large audience to the Hotel Intercontinental on Friday, 24 September. A number
of companies preparing to be listed on the exchange took part in the event in
order to collect the necessary information for their entry onto the exchange.
Her Excellency Eleni Tsakopoulos Kounalakis, U.S. Ambassador to Hungary on 21
June 2010 opened the trading on the Budapest Stock Exchange with a symbolic ringing
of the bell.
The Exchange awards were presented to the best capital market performers of the
year 2009, and followed with great interest, at a reception of the Budapest Stock
Exchange held on the evening of 8 December 2009. The event, organised at the Hungarian
Academy of Sciences, was attended by Dr Mihály Patai, Chairman of the BSE’s Board
of Directors, and Dr György Mohai, CEO of the BSE, who opened the event with a
summary of the year 2009 for the Exchange and the capital market.
Trading in the shares of KEG Közép-európai Gázterminál Nyilvánosan Működő Részvénytársaság
(KEG Central-European Gas Terminal Public Limited Company) opened at the Budapest
Stock Exchange on 22 May 2009.
