On May 30, 2008, trading in the shares of Externet Telecommunications and Internet
Service Provider Public Limited Company began on the BSE. To mark this occasion,
András Pórffy, CEO of the Company rang the opening bell indicating the start of
the trading session.
On May 28, 2008, the Externet Ltd. submitted its application to the BSE for the
listing of its ordinary shares on the market, and by May 29, 2008, it submitted
to the Exchange all of the documents required by the Regulations of the Budapest
Stock Exchange on Listing and Continued Trading.
On this basis, the temporary CEO of the BSE decided that the Externet Ltd.’s
6,320,000 dematerialised, registered ordinary shares of a par value of 50 forints,
for a total value of 316 million forints at nominal, will be admitted for trading
in the “B” Equities Category of the Equities Section of the BSE, from May 30,
2008.
The Externet Ltd. has been a member of the Club of Listed Companies since July
2007, and is the sixth member of that club to make its appearance on the Budapest
Stock Exchange with its shares. The Ministry of Economy and Transport provided
support for the listing of the company through an incentive programme for stock
market listings.
The listing of the Externet Ltd.’s shares on the exchange is the second launching
of shares on the Budapest Stock Exchange in 2008.
