Business activity
The FHB Mortgage Bank Plc. - established in 1997 - is a significant player of the Hungarian mortgage lending and housing financing market. At the time of the foundation, its principal business activity was to refinance the development and purchase of housing real estates and disbursement of state subsidised housing loans. Through its direct sales, its agent network as well as its refinancing partner banks, the Bank made the mortgage-based financing country-wide available. The Banking Group - formed by the foundation of FHB Commercial Bank at the end of 2006 -, nowadays operates as a universal bank, it offers wide range of banking services to its clients, who - due to the strategic cooperation between the FHB Group and the Allianz Insurance Company - can get access to insurance, health fund and pension fund type of products and to other Allianz product-related services in close to 50 branches of the FHB Group all over the country. Among the FHB Group members the FHB Commercial Bank Ltd. offers full banking services, the FHB Life Annuity Ltd. - maximising the benefits from cross-selling possibilities - introduced new real estate based financial products for elderly customers, FHB Real Estate Ltd. capitalizes the real estate expertize and data base accumulated during the last fifteen years, while the Real Estate Leasing Ltd. provides premium category real estate financing mainly for private individuals. The shares of the FHB Mortgage Bank Plc. are traded on the Budapest Stock Exchange since November 2003, and majority of the covered bonds and senior unsecured bonds issued by the FHB Mortgage Bank are also listed securities.
