Ludwik Sobolewski, CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, and Márton Nagy, Chairman of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) had a meeting on Face to face investor conference organised by Concorde Securities and discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two institutions at their meeting in Budapest. The head of the Romanian Stock Exchange expressed the view that independent stock exchanges are positioned to support the growth of national economies by meeting the financing needs of companies, reducing the shadow economy and increasing transparency. Mr. Sobolewski was also familiarised at the meeting with the BSE’s new strategy, which he said could lay the appropriate groundwork for further growth of the Hungarian capital market. The heads of the two stock exchanges agreed at the meeting that they will establish regular dialogue between the two institutions and draw up specific possibilities of cooperation.

The heads of the Romanian and Hungarian stock exchanges discussed possibilities of cooperation at their meeting in Budapest. The two leaders agreed to step up relations between the organisations, establish regular dialogue and explore specific possibilities of cooperation. The CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) welcomed the steps taken by the Budapest Stock Exchange to promote development of the Hungarian capital market, which he said would lay the groundwork for potential growth.
