The 2026-2028 strategy of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) aims to significantly increase the role of capital markets in Hungary: to make the stock exchange and capital market financing a genuine tool for corporate growth, while enabling households to build long-term wealth through the capital market on a broader scale. In this process, the BSE positions itself as a central, trusted player: an infrastructure that simultaneously provides a stable, regulated trading and settlement environment while actively building the capital market ecosystem.
An important starting point for the strategy is that the BSE also operates as a publicly listed company; therefore, its objectives are not limited to market development. The measures outlined for the 2026-2028 period also aim to help the BSE build a more stable and diversified revenue structure, increase its enterprise value, and ensure sustainable returns for its shareholders.
