BSE's Indices
To indicate the trends of the capital market the Exchange calculates domestic and regional equity indices as well as mortgage bond indices and corporate bond indices.

BUX
The BUX index is the official index of blue-chip shares listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange Plc. It is calculated in real time based on the actual market prices of a basket of shares. The index shows the average price changing of the shares with the biggest market value and turnover in the equity section. Hereby this is the most important index number of the exchange trends.

BUMIX
The BUMIX index reflects the performance of listed shares with medium and small capitalisation since June 1, 2004.

CETOP indices
The CETOP indices (Central European Blue Chip Index) reflect the performance of the companies with the biggest market value and turnover in the Central European region. The aim of the CETOP indices is to serve as a benchmark for the portfolio managers who invest in the region.

XTEND
The XTEND index reflects the performance of shares of small- and medium-sized companies listed on the XTEND market since 31.08.2023.

Mortgage bond indices (BMBX)
After one year observation period the BSE has officially started its mortgage bond index family, which consists of one total return index and two yield indices.

Corporate bond indices (BSECB)
The bond index is calculated and published by the BSE on a daily basis from 30 March 2021, and also calculated retrospectively until 4 January 2021. As a result, it can serve as a transparent indicator to help investors make decisions, reflecting the current performance of the non-financial corporate bond market.
